UI Engineer

We are looking for a UI Engineer who can grow with our studio and who is comfortable working in a creative, demanding, and fun environment. 

Pixel Mafia is a digital art studio focused on creating art for blockbuster video games developed by some of the largest publishers in the world.

The UI Engineer will be creating and implementing user interfaces in digital products that satisfy user needs as a UI engineer. Collaborating with teammates on product features during initial concept, mockups, prototype, to product launch is vital for this role.


  • Implement graphical UI designs and mock-ups into functional UI, transitions and animations
  • Polish UI prototypes to AAA level with attention to detail, especially with compliance, accessibility, and layout
  • Developing UI architecture using in engine data and scripting
  • Collaborating with other teams in the development of UI processes, tools, and workflows
  • Iterate and evolve UI related systems/functionality based on user feedback
  • Adhere to the project’s coding standards
  • Develop and create user interface screens, transitions, animations, and VFX


  • Has knowledge of game engines and programming languages (ex. Unreal, C++, etc.)
  • A keen eye for ‘good’ UI, readability, usability and consistency
  • Understanding of hierarchy and layout design principles
  • Experience creating UI code/systems for limited platforms (VR/mobile/consoles) is a plus
  • Has shipped or worked with at least 1 game (AAA title is a plus)
