Environment Artist

We are looking for Environment Artists who want to be challenged and grow their skills while working on exciting AAA titles.

Pixel Mafia is a 3D Art Service Studio focused on creating high-end art for blockbuster video games made by some of the largest publishers in the world.

As an environment artist, you have the ability to create various types of architecture and props. You have a strong mix of modelling skills which range from sculpting organics and hard surfaces. You're like a swiss army knife when it comes to 3D - but way more awesome.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Holds at least 3-5 years of experience as a 3D Artist
  • Knowledge of low-poly and high-poly modeling techniques in a 3D package
  • Working knowledge in 3D software (Maya, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop)
  • Knowledge of additional software such as Substance Painter / Designer, UE4, is a plus
  • Ability to create and texture a 3D model from an image or description
  • Highly creative/artistic skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Good English communication skills
  • Passion to learn new processes and techniques
  • Open to feedback and able to accept criticism
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Must be responsible, proactive, accountable, and personable

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Model and texture assets: both high and low poly versions
  • Create high quality textures in Substance and Photoshop
  • Work within the technical limitations of a variety of game engines
  • Match the required art style of a project
  • Ability to cooperate with teammates to streamline the art creation process
  • When assigned a task, work with your lead to create a plan and schedule
  • Communicate your progress of work to your peers, customers, and leads
  • Provide self-assessment and create improvement plans for your own performance.
